Two pages on a special headdress: Horned Bonnet

I must admit, Native American art, whether it be ritual or merely therapeutic, has always drawn my interest. The very idea that one could buy a kit, complete with instructions, to make one's own horned bonnet, once upon a time (probably before I was born, by the condition of the paper this was printed on), seems wondrous strange, today. And, yet, I've seen (and even shared) similar guides, so I should not be so shocked.  Still, finding this in my stack of forgotten papers awaiting their moment on the scanner bed gave me a small frisson.

Indian Bead-Craft (an instructional pamphlet)

In case you have an old-fashioned bead loom lying around the house, and you'd like to try some basic designs… here's another piece I've had in reserve from one of my auction sprees a decade or so ago, just for you. It probably originally came as the companion to a loom, somewhere in the 1960s (or possibly earlier). If you like it, share it and/or copy it. Click any pic to embiggen.
